How Do I Import References from Library Databases Into RefWorks?

These directions apply to the following database:

  • JSTOR

1. Conduct a search in JSTOR. Check the box next to each reference you wish to import into RefWorks. Then click the "Save Citation(s)" button near the top of the search results.

2. Log in to JSTOR. If you do not already have an account, register for a free "MyJSTOR" account.

3. Near the upper right-hand corner of the page, click on the link, "Saved Citation(s)."

4. Check the box next to each reference you wish to import into RefWorks. Then click the "Export article citations" link. Choose Refworks from the list.

5. Log in to RefWorks.

6. Your references should appear in the Last Imported folder.
