For example, biographical files contain information about
Concordia presidents, faculty, and staff and the historical
files contain clippings about intervisitation, dancing on
campus, athletics, and the buildings on campus.
Media Collections
The Archives contains 22,000 photographs, 800
videocassettes, 2,500 cassettes, 150 CD's, 50 DVD's and
various other media that document Concordia history. These
materials can be used in the Archives.
Manuscripts &
Document Collections
The Archives has approximately 800 linear feet of manuscript
and document collections containing faculty and student papers,
administration materials (e.g. residential life handbooks and
admission brochures), and research collections (e.g. Civil War
letters, missionary letters, Hans and Per Norwegian cartoons).
Some of these collections are closed including the papers of
college presidents dating after 1951 and student records.
Finding aids for these collections will be added to the website
in the coming months.
